2006 Ciragan Kempinski Xmas Ball

Wednesday 20 December, the Ciragan Palace Kempinski hosted a Christmas Ball in cooperation with the Domestic Employment Services of Turkey (DEST) within the Grand Ballroom. The event featured an exhibition of NPP paintings, Turkish singers, Tenor Berk Ozbek and Soprano Aysen Zulfikar, a Latin dance workshop by Milton Lopez and music from live bands. The evening was spearheaded by Lori Blin, wife of Ciragan Palace General Manager, Mr. Henry Blin.

NPP's own Demet hosted the evening introducing the various speakers and entertainment assisted by Ned as and when English translation was required. The event was for the benefit of Bizim Losemili Cocuklar Vakfi (Our-Children Lukaemia Foundation) and among the speakers was Mr. Gunduz Gedikoglu, President of BLCV. NPP sold 3 paintings, 2 at auction, raising 30% of sales generated for the Lukaemia Founation.

In the following days there was press coverage in newpapers and magazines such as Sabah, Hurriyet, Milliyet, Hello and Samdan with Alem to come. Below you can see Adam Street Ataturk Smiles and Gol? Yeah! being auctioned plus articles reporting of who attended the event.......

Later, toward the end of 2007 NPP were denied an exhibition at this same hotel because I, Ned Pamphilon, do not carry a Turkish passport; I am not Turkish; I am a yabanci; foreigner. This was among the major reasons for my decision to leave Turkey.
